Kids disease prevention, what can we do about it? I don't think there is any parent that wants to outlive their child. I know that I want to do my best to keep my kids from experiencing any of the maladies that have been experienced by our family. I have seen my parents, Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles succumb to Heart Attacks, Strokes and of recent Cancer. I used to associate these diseases to people that were "old" when I was young. But now there are many kids that are dying from Heart Attacks due to inactivity and poor eating habits. Cancer has never known any age boundaries but what if there was something we could do to reduce and possibly eliminate the chance that our kids would ever have to suffer from this silent killer.
I was surprised to find out just how many diseases that affect our kids today. I have in no means captured all of them here. I have tried to list some of the major ones and link them back to ways that proper nutrition and supplementation can play a role in preventing some of these degenerative diseases.
I don't believe that there is one magic silver bullet that will help to prevent these diseases from occurring. I do believe that if the body gets enough of the right nutrients that it needs regularly and in balanced ratios that our reward will be a long and healthy life. If we can leave that type of legacy for our kids and other generations that is a legacy worth pursuing.
Another way to look at is our bodies are like cars and require fuel (food) and additives (supplements) in order to run properly. When we stop adding things like oil to our car it has a tendency to run hot and could possibly seize up because the metal expands due to excessive heat from lack of lubrication.
